First topic message reminder :
The Hamachi Killer
What is Tunngle?-
Tunngle is a free software that allows you to host KCVDS duels. However, unlike Ham Tunngle allows you to join rooms for 255 people! This program makes Ham look like a thing of the past, but don't take my word for it.
I know a lot of you guys are fans of hamachi, but why don't you guys just take Tunngle out for a test run? It could change your mind.
How to download Tunngle-
1) Go to www.tunngle.net. Download the program and install it. Make an account at the website and fill out the required information. Make sure to confirm the email message.
2) Launch the tunngle.net program. It will look like the screenshot when you first load it.
3) After awhile a message will pop up below. Say “Ja”.
(NOTE: Language can be picked during installation)
4) Type in your account and software password.
5) Once logged in, you will be taken to your home page. There look to the top left corner. You will find the search function, type "Kaiba" in it and it will show the KCVDS room. This is where we can all meet for challenges, chatting, and plain old fun.
How to host with Tungle-
1) Both players must be in the same Tunngle room, in this case the KCVDS one.
2) In the bottom left corner of the Tunngle window you will see a VIRTUAL IP, that is your Tunngle IP, you have to enter that virtual IP in KCVDS when you host a duel.
3) Once inside a KCVDS lobby, click on the bottom CREATE DUEL, then enter in the field LAST DETECTED IP your Tunngle Virtual IP
4) Now click OK and the duel will be ready
This system is great for KCDA since Premium Hamachi networks cost money. Tunngle is not only free, it's faster, prettier, and way more convenient than Hamachi.
Let's look at some of the pros of Tunngle:
- If you use two or more computers you don't need to worry about being in the same network twice because of the log-in feature.
- Being in a live tournament is 100x more convenient, and could increase the size from a limited 16 to 32.
- When you log off you leave the room which means that when you log in, offline people won't take your spot.
- Tunngle does not crash making hamachi crashes a thing of the past.
- Hosting with Tunngle will always work, unlike the occasional hamachi fails.
- Unlike Leaf, hamachi can remain open while using Tunngle.
