    The Hamachi Killer

    What is Tunngle?-

Tunngle is a free software that allows you to host KCVDS duels. However, unlike Ham Tunngle allows you to join rooms for 255 people! This program makes Ham look like a thing of the past, but don't take my word for it.

    Let's compare the systerms:
    Tunngle: the hamachi killer 2qimuy8

I know a lot of you guys are fans of hamachi, but why don't you guys just take Tunngle out for a test run? It could change your mind.

    How to download Tunngle-

    1) Go to www.tunngle.net. Download the program and install it. Make an account at the website and fill out the required information. Make sure to confirm the email message.

    2) Launch the tunngle.net program. It will look like the screenshot when you first load it.

    3) After awhile a message will pop up below. Say “Ja”.

    Tunngle: the hamachi killer Tunngle2
(NOTE: Language can be picked during installation)

    4) Type in your account and software password.

    Tunngle: the hamachi killer Tunngle3

    5) Once logged in, you will be taken to your home page. There look to the top left corner. You will find the search function, type "Kaiba" in it and it will show the KCVDS room. This is where we can all meet for challenges, chatting, and plain old fun.

    Tunngle: the hamachi killer Jpbnma

    How to host with Tungle-

    1) Both players must be in the same Tunngle room, in this case the KCVDS one.

    2) In the bottom left corner of the Tunngle window you will see a VIRTUAL IP, that is your Tunngle IP, you have to enter that virtual IP in KCVDS when you host a duel.

    3) Once inside a KCVDS lobby, click on the bottom CREATE DUEL, then enter in the field LAST DETECTED IP your Tunngle Virtual IP

    4) Now click OK and the duel will be ready

This system is great for KCDA since Premium Hamachi networks cost money. Tunngle is not only free, it's faster, prettier, and way more convenient than Hamachi.

Let's look at some of the pros of Tunngle:

    - If you use two or more computers you don't need to worry about being in the same network twice because of the log-in feature.
    - Being in a live tournament is 100x more convenient, and could increase the size from a limited 16 to 32.
    - When you log off you leave the room which means that when you log in, offline people won't take your spot.
    - Tunngle does not crash making hamachi crashes a thing of the past.
    - Hosting with Tunngle will always work, unlike the occasional hamachi fails.
    - Unlike Leaf, hamachi can remain open while using Tunngle.

The Detonator and I are both on it right now. Talk to us there if you are ever on. We're in the KCVDS room.

Just pro. If KCVDS doesn't lose the cheats and JP makes infinite siding a thing of the past along with the minor drawbacks it has over KCVDS, like the fact that you can't take the opponent's cards, then we can say the mighty have fallen to the underdogs.

I haven't tried it out with JP; it should work though. If you try it let me know how it goes.

I did try it. The only major issue with it so far is that you can't take the opponent's monsters. Other than that, it's no lag, and in case your opponent cheats(*cough*chang*cough*) there is a move log that you can screenshot for proof. Also it's updated far more often than KC, it doesn't lag, and I could keep the list going.

Newer yes, better no. Why don't we use xfire? So a problem called "recording a duel" wouldn't exist, because with xfire you can make screenshots and record a Game, while playing. Smile Of course with xfire you can't host a duel. >.<

Got Tunngle installed, but for some reason I can't log in to KCVDS. Even when I'm not running Tunngle. Posted to the KC forums

EDIT: noticed some others on the KC forums are having the same issue.

^this Tunngle: the hamachi killer 2325459160

The problem with Tunngle is not that it's not better than Hamachi, it's that it's less popular. For most people it's an inconvenience to download it, install it, and logging in every day when they can just hit their power button on hamachi. In short, it's a matter of laziness. If we want this program to grow we (the people that have installed it and such) just log on every time we get on hamachi and just try to slowly make the move from Ham to tunngle.

Can we change our nickname as we wish, like in Hamachi? Because when I was trying to register site, there are two names, Username and Display Name. I'm confused about Display Name. Is it our Tunngle name which other people see us as?

This i am not too sure about. For the time being I believe you cannot change your name (Thank god i hate people changing their names in hamachi every 2 seconds) however this is just a beta version and when a new update is released then maybe they will allow for display name changes. To be safe i made both my username and display name the same, but it is only your display name that is shown when you chat on Tunngle.
